This is terribly short notice, but David has been living in Dublin for two weeks and we are finally sorted enough to take an evening off from moving and unpacking and chaos and plan an evening of food and beer in the Bull and Castle tomorrow (or Sunday, if enough people say "No, Sunday!"). I will hopefully hopefully hopefully be there, but I had to leave work early today as a leak in my place has brought down the ceiling underneath me, so I may have a weekend of plumbers and builders and an angry landlord ahead of me.

Thankfully it turns out I know the tenant (which was a surprise when we saw each other), so we've already had coffee and ciggies to calm each other down.

OK, landlord beneath me not angry, very nice, we're sorting things. Still unsure of movements as there are dehumidifiers to rent and all that malarkey, and also I'll have to do all the work that I didn't do this afternoon tomorrow, but a few drinks tomorrow night (and a steak) will probably be a welcome relief.

And on the bright side, the leak was a fresh water leak, as opposed to anything more noxious, so none of us are grossed out.

Well I assumed if you already had plans for Friday that you were flying past the internet on your way to somewhere exciting, and I'm not entirely sure if Madame would manage to get to this in time to let you know :)
