Side Effects

It's nice to know what the side effects of an injection are BEFORE you give it. My barn owners are on vacation so I'm watching all the horses. Last night I gave a shot of hormones to one mare to bring her into cycle. I can relate to this believe it or not, since I have had to sit up and watch a collic ( y ) horse .... it was some time ago but still I recall a lot of walking them in circles and this was outside in the dead of winter too. Middle of January. I wonder why it is that horses eat like that ; why there's nothing that seems to tell them, "Hey you're full quit eating now."

I wonder if there are many other animals prone to it or if its just horses. I want to say cows, but then I know a guy who kept cows when I was a kid, and they never seemed to have such problems ...

Do have legal documents on file that idemnify you if their negligence kills one of their horses ? I'd hate to see you get in trouble for another person's stupidity.

Cows and horses have completly different digestive tracts. Cows can bloat, but they don't colic.
