So far this week work has been pretty quiet, I think its the calm before the storm. As of next week I will begin getting kit together for our annual user conference. Apparently it is going to be responsibility in its entirety even though I have never even attended one of these things, let alone set kit up for them ( Read more... ) -
A stay of execution
Nic and I had a big chat over the weekend. We sort of got on to the subject of engagement and we decided that, although we both want to go ahead, we aren't going to consider it for the next 6 months or so. Lofty finds
Whilst (still) clearing out my amassed cr@p from the loft; I came across my old cassette albums. Believe it or not it was mid 90's before I purchased anything on CD. Mainly because I used to listen to all my music on headphones whilst going to work etc and portable CD players were dreadful back then. Started moving a few bits into the house at the weekend, all the kitchen stuff is in (apart from the appliances that haven’t arrived yet). Once we had finished it started to feel more like a home and less of a shell, it was a bit of a reality check for me. I just cant get myself motivated today, partly because it is Friday, partly because most of my workload is frustrating me at the moment (firewall upgrades and Windows update servers) and partly because I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open. 5.30 is a god awful time of the morning - i had to get up and drag myself to York for 7.30 so that i could be here while some sparkies did circuit testing before fitting more sockets in our office. Only to find that when i got here they had already started and i probably wasn't needed anyway!!! Saying that i did try and move too much kit on to one ( Read more... ) -

No, contrary to popular belief I'm not actually dead! Busy times are afoot getting ready for the big house move...I can't wait...Unfortunately it means my social life is almost none existent and all of my cash is going on furniture but it will all be worth it in the long run ( Read more... )
