After weeks of no contractions but dilation, I thought I would be pregnant forever. At my 40 week OB appt, I was 3 cm, 70%, and not having any contrax. No contractions, nothing.  No cramping, no achiness, just pelvic heaviness.  I'm grateful that I'm not contracting and not dilating (which would really suck), but perhaps a couple here and there to remind me the end is near?  I'm looking at an induction for sure @ 41 weeks if this keeps up...

So, after practically a whole day spent taking it easy, my head and throat don't feel ANY better.  I woke up this morning and choked trying to swallow, then saw white lights behind my eyes after choking when my head ramped up to uber painful speed.  My last day off for a couple of days and I spent it feeling like crap.  So. Work 3 days a week, off for 4 (though technically it takes a whole day to recover from one 12 hr shift) is really nice.  I actually miss all my patients when I'm gone and it is so gratifying to see them get better (most of the time; sometimes they don't but thankfully that's not often).  This is a complete 180 from last year where I was just ( Read more... )

My life must be wonderful. I feel perfectly entitled to have my own opinion about things I really don't know anything about. And if this is judgmental, oh well. It could be SO much WORSE.
