G’bye Baby Buttons
Yesterday took our eldest cat Buttons to the vet, expecting to get her some antibiotics. She’d had a persistent mild sniffle for some time, and lost some weight. She was eating better lately, though, getting up and down on Mommy’s desk on her own, looking pretty good.

Finished “Jennyripper,” which means I’ve written two entire novels (“Sin Gorge” was the first) in about a five-week period, and have 14k or so written on the third novel, “The Twilight Girl.” I sent the first chapters of “Sin Gorge” to Angry Robot Books during their March open-submissions period, as well as to some other prospective agencies/ ( Read more... ) -
New Year, New Books, Big Deal.
So it has been a while. In the last three weeks I’ve written a 435-page novel from start to finish, gotten 40 pages into a second, had my 34th birthday, gone off my Welbutrin, jumped into stand-up comedy, and dyed my hair some shade of murder scene (I believe the label reads ‘CSIenna’).

“Dolan’s Cadillac” Can Drive off a Cliff
So my wife found this at the Half-Priced Books’ video section. Both of us have always been immense fans of the original story as it appeared in King’s Nightmares & Dreamscapes, and if anything we’re bigger fans of Rob Lowe’s spoken adaptation of it in the audiobook version. I started reading the Dresden novels probably for much the same reason many others did: I first saw the all-too-brief TV series on SciFi channel.

Sorry for a lack of updates the last couple of weeks, I’ve been taking care of the job-hunt issues as well as having to deal with some thorny entanglements that my former employer has tried to leave attached to me like proverbial toilet paper on my shoe, and it has taken some persistent shaking and scraping to try and get it all free and away.
