Blackstar pays little mind to which direction he's pointed when he lifts away from the ocean's surface above the Decepticon base. He just wants to fly, and direction doesn't matter to him any more. Whatever sensors or radars or satellites these humans have, none of them would be able to pick him up now anyway, except for possibly as a blurry image

The Control Center's door slides open and Echoshift steps in. At one side of the room, taking up most of the entire wall, the main computer is still humming and active. The other consoles are also online, and thanks to the repair work that had been done earlier, all the hardware actually functions now and there are no more open panels with bits of wiring and circuit boards hanging untidily out of them. Looking around the room, it seems to Echoshift that that whole room appears generally rather less run-down than it did before.
Strata had done a good job.
Leaving the door unlocked, Echoshift heads over to the main computer while he waits for Steadfast to arrive and glances over the work he's done so far, pausing after a while to dig through the small pile of assorted Stuff that has managed to start accumulating on a nearby worktop. "Oh, nothing bad, don't worry." He shrugs. "She wanted to know how many of us there were here, I gave her a list of names, and she asked a few questions about you. So I told her you'd been helping out with the retrieval mission."

Giving Wingblade's air intake a reassuring squeeze, she comms her, //It's okay. I'm proud of you.//

It had been the look in those fading crimson optics. He shudders, wondering if he'd looked that entreatingly frightened when his own lasercore had shattered so many years ago. He doesn't like seeing Duskwing upset like that.
He sighs. She hadn't been trying to be deliberately cruel. She's just... stupid. Which he finds supremely ironic, actually.
He doesn't, however, bother addressing what she'd said to him. She's not his Air Commander.

He looks at Echoshift and nods. "Okay, that's good then. Wish Long Haul had had your sense. Wouldn'a had to toss so many people outta my old compartment."
Duskwing glances at Blackstar and frowns. // You gonna say somethin' to Lavender there? She actually apologized! //

"Mistakes happen. Even to the best of us," he offers.

"Speaking of things Echoshift told me," she addresses Duskwing, "he said you've seen Skywarp more recently than he has. How is he? Other than no longer a unicorn..."

He gives Wingblade a puzzled frown. "Weren't you visiting him, too?"
