autologik used to work produce in a grocery store, and he said LOTS of produce comes with hitchhikers. This does not combine well with his deep seated arachnophobia, but he said rats are worse, because they're bigger and come right for you.

I just said to him, "Someone found a Brazilian wandering spider in some bananas in a Whole Foods in Oklahoma." Without the slightest hesitation, he said, "Did they burn the store down? Because that would be the right thing to do." I asked if he actually knows what a Brazilian wandering spider is, and he said, "It's the deadliest spider in the universe." When I expressed mild surprise that he knew that, he said, "You have to know the enemy."

And then he got mad because I started giggling. ;)
