i liked watching rollie's first observations of and interactions with the "republic", the people, and gus. interesting to see his impressions; i get the feeling he has two opposing forces at work: he hasn't been to a small, peaceful town in a long time, so it's strange to him and he almost feels paranoid, and yet he's a man who's seen it all, and so he takes everything in stride. thanks - tally
