At 8:30 am, I was walking home and saw two people on the street, one drastically taller than the other. My first thought was, my god, that woman is enormous! Then, I got a little perspective, and thought, "goodness, that other woman is really tiny." And then I realized that it was a mom and her 5 year old daughter.

It's 4am. There are birds outside my window and they sound like a thousand little knives. Screaming. On a feedback loop. Knives, or possibly baby carrots.

They can stop now, really. For serious. Didn't we cut down their natural habitat or something? Aren't I going to at least get one decent night's sleep out of our anti-environment

I had a concert tonight, and it was just lovely. I don't know at all how we sang, but I do know that I really liked singing it by the end. I was in a small ensemble piece, and I didn't even freak out about singing in a really small group. That's a major step for me.
