I took Em and Matt down to St. Louis Riverfront to get a view of the flood water.  They remember playing on the cobblestones of the riverfront and were just in awe that it was all under water.  They saw the trees and street signs and the Arch steps all in the flow of the river.   And they were just amazed ( Read more... )

Last night XH called Matthew.   So, Matthew's birthday candle wish did come true.  He was on cloud 9.

But, in my opinion, it isn't enough.  XH has got to follow through.  He can't just call him every six weeks and call that a relationship with his son.

 The kids had a half day of school today so I took a half day off work.  I got home about 1pm and about 20 minutes later....Kevin got home.   :)

So....he did want to come home.  DUH !!!  I can see now just how irrational and distorted my thinking and reasoning can get.  Sheesh!
