well, i'm finally back home after nearly two weeks in thailand. overall, it was quite an experience. as with my last trip, i want to record all of my impressions for posterity, but it's hard to get everything into a coherent journal entry. so, i'll just start with a general record of what we did ( Read more... )

Well that was a fun read with my morning tea!! You got some fantastic photos. Really gave me the urge to put Thailand back on the top ten of my "one day" list! You also made me realize that I NEED to get diving at some point this decade-- looks fantastic! I did snorkel in those same places around Ko Tao, but getting further down there with the marine life would be even better. Thanks for sharing all that;-)

that's a very good question, and one i'm not really sure of the answer to. there have been some new developments in the situation recently, but they'll require a lot of writing, so i'll sum everything up in a new journal entry later this week. thanks for asking, though.

and yeah, you should definitely try diving! snorkeling is fine, but i really felt a sense of accomplishment after managing to take care of all my diving equipment myself. and obviously you can get much closer to the fish, otherwise we would have never seen a moray eel. like i said i definitely want to do it again, and i've been thinking about possible places to go... so many tempting options!
