Any suggestions on books to read?

I don't get why (some) married people say their spouse is their "better half." That half may make you a "better" person but ultimately, YOU are the one that has the final say in your actions. In my mind, when people say that, they're basically saying that, without that half, they would be a bad person, no matter what. YOU are your better half. 

Despite what others may think I believe, I acknowledge that there IS such a thing as too hot, worse still when you add humidity on top of it.
