I just finished Diary. What a huge fucking disappointment. I think I'll write a full review.

Oh well. On to A Separate Peace.

I got about 100 pages into it, and I decided I couldn't put up with the formatting. It starts getting REALLY fucked up about then...non-linear pages, paragraphs in boxes that last for page after page, triangular printing, all sorts of shit. And I obsessively read everything, so trying to keep up and determine the order and having to flip back-and-forth from page to page to page to make sense of what was going on proved to be too frustrating.

It's apparenly Tons' favorite book; he's read it two or three times.

I can totally see that now. Wow, Finny was a great character!

What a great guy.

And every time (each. and. every. time.) I see a guy in a pink shirt, one that pulls it off in a somehow charming, still masculine way -- I think of Finny.

You should meet our coworker Jason, then. I always make fun of his pink shirt.

I think you need to learn to appreciate simplicity.

I think YOUR MOM needs to appreciate simplicity.

It was just so unsatisfying, especially since it didn't set out to be a simple novel. You'll see. YOU'LL ALL SEE WHEN I WRITE MY SCATHING REVIEW.
