I left the house this morning intending to get a lot of work done on my paper and then see The Golden Compass with STD friends. Instead, I am no further along on my paper (hence, home instead of at the movies), and I now have four new tires.

When I got to work this morning, I noticed one of my back tires was severely low. Turns out it had dry rot,

Hey, it's Donna. Yes, I have a stupid LJ account, but it's only because I've gotten sucked into the world of Battlestar Galactica fanfic. Ugh. Anyway, I post on it less than I do MySpace, so there's no excitement going on.

Anyway, we missed you at the movies last night. Having bought 4 new tires this summer, I do know the suckage of the expense. But it's nice knowing your car is riding on decent rubber, especially in this weather.

You'r right -- poverty sucks. But hey, if I ever become rich, I'll let you mooch off me.

Hope you get the paper done soon. This is the first day I've had in a year and a half without the thesis hanging over my head. I've had an Aaron Sorkin marathon: West Wing and The American President. Plus, I've taken two naps. All in all, a good day. I highly recommend the relief that comes with being finished with the paper writing!
