I've been wondering about Shopgirl. On the one hand, I am unabashedly in love with Clare Danes. On the other, the movie looked like it might be lame. If it is anything like Lost in Translation, I'll probably enjoy it. Steve Martin is pretty good at whatever he does, so that's also a plus. Even if I don't see this one in theaters, I will at least rent it. That's what I ended up doing with Garden State and Lost in Translation.

Like I said, I enjoyed it. I'll probably buy it when it comes out on DVD. Clare Danes was really good. Jason Schwartzman was adorable, but what's new about that? And I don't think Steve Martin was funny once in the entire movie. It was kind of odd, but he did a great job with the dramatic stuff.
