Oh, yes! Admittedly, I haven't been able to remember if I know many more than that, but they all have such wonderful qualities. Archie-san has wonderful hair, and a very handsome way of smiling-ah, and Ginko-san, there's something calming about his appearance. Not to mention he's a mature sort of attractive that is rare among so many of the younger people here...

Ah, I wish I knew that man's name... I'm not sure if I've forgotten it or not... A blond-haired man, and something about airplanes...

Uniqueness is indeed a laudable thing. It would be quite tiresome for everybody to be exactly the same... [And yet Robert comes from a mostly-homogenous culture so he's something of a hypocrite saying this.]

That being said, are there any others that you know of from times more similar to your own?

I hope that this place has not been too strange for you. It feels quite ancient to me, but I presume it felt the opposite to you at times.

Oh, don't worry about me! I've actually been able to adjust fairly well, despite myself. As long as I keep to my usual routines I think I'll do just fine... Though it's true, a lot of these things are very new to me. Things like... mi-cro-waves.

[Robert smiles a little to himself - not mockingly, but more in a wondering sort of way. It's pretty amazing if he dwells on it... there's so much that this woman is learning all the time - he only hopes that she's curious to learn more.]

Microwaves, hm? I had noticed that there were devices that used microwaves to cook here...

[Though he's curious about the routines that someone from an ancient time period might have.] Oh? And what sort of routines might you have?

[Oh dear, this might take a turn toward the bizarre. This isn't new at all.]

Well, I get up, cook breakfast, and then work at the restaurant! And when that's over, I go shopping, return home, and write everything I'd learned that day in a notebook before I get to weaving at my loom.

You record all the things you learn? How diligent of you. [He's impressed.]

Is that simply for archival purposes?

Well, in a sense, yes. I record all of it because I tend to forget what happens in a lot of cases; if that happens, I can look back and see what I should already know.

[Poor memory is not a problem Robert usually faces. But this seems to be an ingenious solution to overcoming it at least partially.]

I find that a most fascinating way to compensate for frequent memory loss. It would be rather like recording your life in a personal database...

You think so? I always thought it would be really helpful, though it wouldn't help much if I forgot I wrote them in the first place!

Is there anybody else who assists you in cases where you have trouble recalling things? [Robert may not know this nice woman, but he does hope that there's someone looking out for her.]

Oh, yes! The man from my world helps me quite often-he's the one who told me what was wrong with me in the first place, even.

Oh, it's a little strange... but I have a creature in my head that eats my memories. And the man from my world specializes in those type of creatures.
