[In light of certain questionable polls she was made privy to, Nami feels that a balance needs to be righted. Honestly? She doesn't much care about the answers. She just wants to have fun. |D]

Oh, yes! Admittedly, I haven't been able to remember if I know many more than that, but they all have such wonderful qualities. Archie-san has wonderful hair, and a very handsome way of smiling-ah, and Ginko-san, there's something calming about his appearance. Not to mention he's a mature sort of attractive that is rare among so many of the younger people here...

Ah, I wish I knew that man's name... I'm not sure if I've forgotten it or not... A blond-haired man, and something about airplanes...

[Yes, Luceti, Sayo secretly hounds all over your guys. She's only in her late twenties so cut her some slack. 8)]

[A few moments of stunned silence here from Robert.]

... You have a parasite in your brain? [That tone? That's fear, and horror on Robert's end. The idea of something attacking his mind, destroying his memories... that's a terrifying one.]

And... it is impossible to exterminate this parasite? [Robert feels terrible for Sayo. What a horrifying thing to have to deal with.]

I suppose that would be a better word for it... [She's been reading quite a bit after work hours.] Unfortunately, the only weakness it has is light-but it's impossible to shine light on someone's brain, so if they're already in someone's head, they can't be removed.

[Of course, she always has to add, for fear of making it seem bleak as hell:]

But it's okay-if I keep to a certain pattern and work on making a lot of new memories, they won't be able to eat the memories I value most.

Technically it is not impossible. A Terran neurologist would be able to perform cerebral surgery on you in such a way as to eliminate the problem - in fact, I might wonder if a probe could be inserted subdermally for the procedure...

But Luceti here, I wager, has no such technology. [Robert sighs.]

I... can hardly fathom what it must be like, to be in constant danger of losing all the knowledge one has accumulated. [Robert would want to kill himself.]

It can be a little scary sometimes. [an under-exaggeration] But it could be worse, and so far I've been able to keep track of everything that matters. It seems that me being here has halved the effects of the mushi on my mind, as well.

I am sorry that this has happened to you, regardless, and I hope that eventually there will be some method for you to free yourself from the parasite...

But if you have a method of coping, I suppose that helps. [Robert can't say he envies Sayo for that.]

[She spends no time at all looking for alternatives, to free herself from it, because she's come to the conclusion that she will simply always have to live with it.

It's awful, but it's what reality is.

Even so, she appreciates it.]

Don't worry, I'm just fine. I've been more troubled over Luceti's strangeness than my own, mostly.

That is certainly a troubling thing as well. Everything about this place is strange... And in basically every way possible. [Especially for someone like Robert.]

Well, I might just have to meet these men if you describe them so fondly. ...Unfortunately I don't know any blond men who talk about airplanes. If I did I would certainly tell you.

Ah-and what might your idea of attractive be, miss?

Me? I don't really think I have one. If a person is nice that's what attracts me in the end. Looks don't matter too much.

Ah, I agree! I notice if a person's attractive, but it doesn't really ever affect my views on them; I'd like to think I've always looked at what they're like on the inside, as corny as that may sound.

It doesn't sound corny. Maybe to some people it might, but I think that sounds romantic. Being attractive helps, but it's not a deal breaker.

Oh, yes! There are people that are physically beautiful, but their personalities need quite a bit of work! Otherwise, their looks will be for nothing!

I'm glad we agree! Too bad most men don't seem to get that all the time.

Oh... they don't? Really?
