Dear Diary, sir!

I got a bird yesterday, sir! An officer brought her to my door and told me to bring her to a prisoner, sir! I haven't had time to drive to the prisons lately, so I've been taking care of her, sir! She's really pretty and red, sir! And... and she can talk, sir!!! I've never met a talking animal

What kind of bird...? "Ara ararauna"? "Lophocroa leadbeateri"? Could it possibly be "Psittacus erithacus"? They're supposed to be very smart.
