It actually looks like a misdirected email rather than spam. How does the origin email address look?

it is probably misdirected. Or an incredibly almost well crafted performance piece.
Or some sort of blind psychology test... did you sign up for anything in college and promptly forget about it?
Do tell... why are you so adament about jumping ship to the Murdoch thing anyway? You know it is just the latest trend... look what happened to Friendster.
