Having some LJ issues

Dec 28, 2011 16:52

Some things on LJ aren't working properly for me now, and I don't know whether to try switching to some other style or what. *sigh* I think I'll wait to see if they decide to change something else before making any decisions.

Happy holidays! I need a crown put in to stop a tooth from further cracking, too. It's really a non-event, other than the expense. Hope yours is a non-event, too.

Cool. Let us be dentaled together! (I'm also hoping for a nonevent.) :)

Am hearing loud complaints about the short writing window at YT. I trust the mods will listen.

Crowns are non-events unless they decide to do root canals on them. Not that root canals hurt especially but the monetary pain is astronomical. OTOH silver crowns are cheaper than looks-like-your-real-teeth crowns, a fact I only found out this year. Truly, it's not like anyone gets near enough to my mouth to see what colour my teeth are, except for small people who don't know what they're seeing anyway.

Yeah, YT got a bit hairy when I realized I couldn't find my copies of everything I needed and had to deduct yet more writing time to scare them up.

I dunno what sort of materials they're going to be using. I figure if I let Dentist Tight Drawers use whatever he wants to use, it'll be over quickly enough. (Though two separate visits for this maneuver don't seem quickly to me. Meh.)

I had to have a crown put in for similar reasons earlier this year (old filling, tooth being less repairable around it) and while it was not actually any more fun than any visit to the dentist ever is, it was not noticeably worse than having a regular filling either.

Small comfort, I know, but for what it's worth...

Everyone assures me this is the case, so I will TRUST in this, and not run away like a baby. Probably. No, most definitely as it's already been paid for in advance. <-- they are clever that way

Sympathy, and I hope it's over nice and fast.
