Got sworn in as a lawyer in the state of California Tuesday. Yay!

I'm in Boston for the week to hang with the fam a bit. Met up with my friends Oli and Cyrus on Saturday night. I haven't touched any alcohol for a couple of months so what's the first thing Oli and Cyrus do when they meet me? They give me about two shots of vodka. Thing about LA is everyone's an actor or wannabe actor. I went to a Tufts Lawyers Association get together the other day and 2 out of the 15ish alumni/lawyers there were part time actors/actresses. One of them even appeared in Fun with Dick and Jane. I didn't see the movie, but she says she played the doctor who ruined Tia Leoni's face. I'm not ( Read more... )

Just got back from a weekend at San Diego. Man, I love that place. It's very similar to Boston in that it has character and you know it's a city, whereas LA is just too big and sprawling. Went to the Little Italy district in San Diego and had one of the best veal cutlets ever. Yum-yum!

Quick, what's better then spending a nice relaxing weekend in Palm Springs? How about a free relaxing weekend in Palm Springs? Anna's boss sent her to an immigration lawyer's conference in Palm Springs this weekend so I did the only thing any person in their right mind would do--I packed my bags and went with her! Got up at 6 AM today to do some yoga. I bought AM and PM Yoga on DVD yesterday. It's a program for beginners. It felt like a program for experts the way I am so out of shape and all. Worst of all, they didn't reveal the best yoga exercise of all--YOGA FLAME! That's a Street Fighter reference for all you people who actually have a life.

Anna's friend from Korea stayed with us this weekend. She was here on business but extended her stay to visit us. On Sunday we went out to the little hole in the wall Peruvian restaurant.
