The depressed people are back to being depressed instead of "overly" depressed, and valentines chocolates are half off at all major retail stores. Hopefully everyone that reads this had a fun valentines day! I watched supernanny in my boxers and ate ramen noodles...pretty ( Read more... )

Thanks for putting "Der Kommisar" in my head for the past 2 days!!!!!!! That's a good song, though.

"Caribbean Queen" -- another good one.

nin's "hurt" -- OMG, most depressing song ever written, and Johnny Cash's version was totally depressing too. Damn, I miss Trent Reznor.

Oh yeah -- and the "Call Me Al" song by Paul Simon -- the first time I'd heard that song, I was like 6 or 7, and I saw the video with Chevy Chase and I thought freakin' Chevy Chase was actually the one who sang it!

Yeah, I'll have to come up with some mix lists of my own. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but back in the day (along the lines of 1997-1998), I used to make some killer mix tapes and people dug them. The key is to have a nice flow from one song to the other. So the order of the songs on said mix tape is extremely important. I should write a book: "Mix Tapes For Dummies." Basically the book would be one page long with just that one piece of advice. In that case, it would be more like a pamphlet.

you remember that video? it was like some german guy standing in front of a green screen in leather with sunglasses on and streaking police lights behind him...ahhh 80's video. sorry to get the song stuck in your head! 80's tunes will do that to you. and that mix tape for dummies is really a good idea. im sure you can pad it up to 150 pages, just throw in some advertisments or something!

I've probably seen the video at one time or another on VH-1 Classics. Man, I love that channel. I only get like 5 channels here -- I signed up for basic cable but the only "cable" channels I get are TV Land, BET, and the Travel channel. Lots of Chinese-language channels here, which can be fun to watch.

Yeah, I've gotten sick of them too. Plus I can't really cook them here b/c my stove sucks. I basically live on pizza, Subway, and Stouffer's frozen dinners. And, uh, of course, beer and cigs.
