I think that's why he gets loud so often or goes back to yelling at the boys, he's too scared for them to react otherwise. Not saying that's the right thing to do, but I can really understand that.

I started out in the fandom as a John!girl, so any fic where he's a flawed human being and not just "that evil asshole" makes me all warm and fuzzy.

Hehe, I started out in this fandom as a brothers!girl, then Sam!girl and now, finally, more a John!girl than anything else. He's an awesome character and I think it's just too easy to see him as the asshole most people want him to be, he did what he did for a reason and, what's even more important for me, when he screwed up he admitted that and apologized. Even if it took him years to get there. Most people don't see that and I'm shocked how often I hear that they are surprised you can actually write him as a human being with flaws rather than the devil himself.

So, yeah, John!girl, through and through! :D

I love this! Seeing John take care of Sam through one of his visions is wonderful, and his POV through the story feels right.

I was always wondering how John would react to Sam's powers, you know, on a personal, not thinking about how other hunters could want to kill Sam for them. Just John as a human thinking about his kid being able to see the future. I'm not sure if he'd actually stay this "cool" but I can't see him resenting Sam for them either.
