That was just wow. I have to say I've given Adam about as much thought as show did to him and that's not just right; what happened to him would deeply affect Sam (and Dean).

Before I saw that prompt, I hadn't given Adam much thought as well, I've never been a fan of that character (mostly cause of how the show was handling him, treating him more like a plot device than an actual human being) but when I got the chance to sit down and think about how his death must have hit Sam... something clicked. I really, REALLY hope the show addresses the Adam-issue next season, though, sadly, I don't think they will.

This is just awesome work. I love how you intertwine Adam and Sam's relationship both in hell and in his dreams/nightmares. And Poor poor Sam.
