I love thunderstorms, but this was a bit too much!

I got an hour of overtime and a cloudy head today. The reason - our office building was struck by lightening during short thunderstorm some 40 minutes ago. It knocked out power briefly, damaged office net, almost killed my monitor. It took IT 40 minutes to get everything back working. Wow, that's wild. We have been struck by lightning in our truck. It fried the electrical system.

After being blinded and deafened by a close strike inside building, I don't want to even imagine how it was for you! Almost 5 hours later, and my head is still not completely right.

We had no idea it had happened until years later. The Bronco kept doing all this weird stuff and when our mechanic finally took it apart, he discovered all the fused electronics. He said that honestly the vehi9lce shouldn't have been working at all. Go figure.

Good grief!!!

I can never remember whether you are supposed to shelter under a tree or categorically not to go under a tree during a thunderstorm. We are having unusual heat and storms here now, but clearly nothing like yours.

I've never been in a building where lightening struck. Not even close. It must be a scary experience :-)
