We went camping with the in-laws this weekend and had a great time.  We were in the Big Smoky area which is north of Fairfield.  There is something about camping that makes whatever I eat taste fantastic.  We had tin foil dinners the first night and I think I might make them on the grill because they were so good ( Read more... )

I finally got a job! I am going to work at the Boys & Girls Club and I start on Monday!

I slept in til 9:30 today and would probably still be in bed if I didn't have a ton of things to do.  For the past two days I have worked in the scale house on the dairy and scanned trucks as they came in.  They are hauling haylege and Z said that it will stink something awful  when the juices start to flow out.  Ahhh.... the joys of living on a ( Read more... )

Went to My sister's high school rodeo last night and didn't get home until about 12:30. We left at 7:00 and but she didn't even race until about 10:00. They have so many participants that only 10 from each category can be in the regular rodeo and then the rest are in slack. Jill does barrel racing and she seems to be improving each time. I just finished four days of substituting. It was probably a good thing that I did because Z went to the dentist and foot doctor yesterday. I made $3 more than the dentist bill. A pack of flowers and a snow cone later and I am back to where I started ( Read more... )

I just spent the day as a substitute teacher and I am trying to remember why I want to be a teacher. Since I haven't had much luck finding another job in this tiny town, spending the day with crazy 3rd graders will have to work.
