Lake Okoboji
It's that time of the year where I travel with Megan's family to Lake Okoboji in the northern part of Iowa. Megan has gone for a week each year since she was a little kid and to have a chance to go along with her is definitely something special.

PRIDE 2015
One thing that excites me about my hometown of Des Moines is their ability to host such a wonderful LGBT Pride weekend each and every year. I remember when the event was so small that it went down one side of one block and the ratio was about 5:1 - for every 5 supporters there was 1 anti-gay preacher. Depression
Depression is a very serious thing. I guess you can say that from the time I was 14 I have been pretty depressed on and off.
