Smugness is a terribly unbecoming emotion, even if it is a perfectly reasonable response to seeing somebody kicked in the pants who richly deserves it. "Afraid not," says Gordon. "She's... had problems. PTSD, among other things. She's back in Rowlesburg. The people there have a better chance of helping her than fighting does."

"That makes sense. Jennifer had some PTSD when she first arrived - coming in from a messy death'll do that to a body - but she's recovered. Let me get her attention." He gets out his T-Minus device and spends a minute or two typing into it and reading the replies.

Almost immediately he puts it down, Jennifer bodyslides into place next to them. "Lucky for me your Q-signature is so easy to home in on," she says to Michael, then turns and waves at Gordon.

The way Gordon sees it, Chell had other issues to begin with that made matters worse, and discovering that one room on Abrams Island couldn't have done her any favors. But that's Chell's story to relate, if she chooses.

At Jennifer's sudden appearance, Gordon blinks. "Nice trick," he murmurs, raising a hand in reply.
