After almost melting in Melk, the rain washed us almost into the Danube at night. Alright, it wasn't really that bad, but we breakfasted in the Restaurant belonging to the camp ground. And drove on with a wet tent...
Yup, Hallstatt has a saltmine. As we were almost trying to "find" Neu Schwanstein, we didn't go into the mine. You wouldn't believe the masses of tourists that fit into such a tiny and limited space (surrounded by water on one side and hills on all others), really, it felt like being in a huge touristy spot.... crawling with buses and groups.
Wow, thank you. I don't really like it that much, and it's just point and shoot... and I think they are Swans, there were soooo many real swans in Gmunden, and they flew low, low, low over the lake, their wings touched the water.

I vaguely remember Hallstatt has a salt mine? Must be a lot of years ago I was there...

The cloudy lakes look mysterious and otherworldly.
