what is wrong with me? i have been sitting at my computer staring at my fic that i really want to finish but i just can't get myself to type out everything that's already written in my mind. this sucks. and i'm really very sleepy for some reason. i feel as if it's 11pm right now instead of not even 6pm.

your story about alex reminds me of this icelandic exchange student I know. He is the ONLY person I can talk to in RL that actually knows his football. When I get tired of hearing the same 'go argentina' blather from my mum (who gets all her info from the web, seeing as how I am the one who introduced her to football in the first place) I call him up and we talk for HOURS, because he is supporting Portugal and I would like England or Holland to win. He supports Liverpool for club football, so when we get sick of talking about the WC, we talk shit about each other's clubs.

oh, and the accent is nice, too. ;-)

i have several friends that know a lot about the sport but i just don't get to talk to them as often. and i guess meredith qualifies as an rl friend because although i met her on lj we've met in rl as well. she knows more than me. it's just alex is as crazy about germany as me because she's german. :D i love liverpool! no making fun of them. anyways, it's great to have friends like that.

Yeah, those are lyrics from the song that the team listen to before every match. :P I've just seen some scrapbooks where there are random snippets of text everywhere, and instead of having random ones, I thought I'd put in their team song. I've actually uploaded it somewhere, and it's pretty good :D
