I find searching LJ to be impossible. Whenever I want to search something on LJ, I use Google! Crazy I know.
LJ is effing weird. I went to the profile of a community that came up in the Google results and clicked on the fifty shades of grey interest and it told me no communities match that interest, when that interest is in that community profile!! lol. Whatevz. The one community I found had very little members and no posts. :\ The rest of the results were from people's own journals.
