I've become quite wary of the "New Messages!" icon on Myspace.  It seems that unless I am expecting someone to drop a line, at which time I am not *as* wary, I am pretty nervous to open the link and find some message from an ex or some boy who chased after me in high school.  It's not just a little weird to have some guy that you hardly ever spoke ( Read more... )

I got to see Phil, and as an added and unexpected bonus, I also got to see Ken and Shannon.  What fun.  Smoked salmon benedict with peach mimosas made the perfect compliment to such great company (The likes of which I'd not had in many months).

Oh my how I cannot wait to come and visit.

Tomorrow I shall spend the day making my sister blueberry mojitos for her thirtieth birthday.  Then I have to go to work.  Then I'm driving the two of us to Salem to go dancing.  Lord knows where, and lord knows the best music we'll find is crappy club music, but we're going by god, and it will be fun.

How do you tell someone that the more that you get to know them, the more of an emotional drain you find them to be.  This isn't just 'hard times' I'm talking about.  This person NEVER has a positive thing to say about their life.  It's always negative.  Everything is always going wrong every day.  And they want to call me and tell me about it for ( Read more... )

You know, sometimes it's a lot less enjoyable than it sounds to be pretty, funny, nice, honest, witty, intelligent, considerate...  and "available."

I found it odd how quickly North Carolina became 'life' to me.  And it surprises me again how quickly living here in Scio has just become life.  It no longer seems strange to me, nor novel.  It's just the day in and day out.

I pray that NY takes a bit longer to adjust to!
