In response to June

Okay, due to the absolutely overwhelming response to June's challenge, I pose you all one question: What can we do to spark participation? Honestly, I was lazy last month, myself. I have very little room to speak. What is it, though, that can get you to write? Deadlines aren't doing it. Small quantities of power and control isn't doing it. ( Read more... )

I don't know... that seems like it might be MORE overwhelming that what we're doing now. I will try to get get last month's challenge done, but not until next week at the earliest. (And believe me, I definitely WANT to do it.)

For now, the easiest thing might be extending this challenge to the end of the month. Afterall, having the due date right smack-dab in the middle of a long weekend probably didn't help things. If response is still bad after that, then there may be a problem. ^_^;;

i am willing to try for the update a chapter once a month thing.
sorry, i was either away or at work the last month. my boss was in the hospital and everyone had to pull in to cover more shifts. then i was away for the last week and a half of the month.
if you still want me to try for last month's, i will do me best.

Original stories are a good thing. The main reason why I hardly ever post is because the challenge almost always revolves around an existing idea, and that cuts down my creative process to virtually nil.

Besides, I've been procrastinating on my original story for years now. I started the damn thing in high school and I still only have like 2 chapters.
