My sister planned the most beautiful luau for her son's rehearsal dinner last night. I helped her with food and set-up of the event which was held in the backyard of one of her friend's home complete with a gorgeous waterfall amid stunning gardens. My nephew is getting married. Really he is more than my nephew.....because my sister and I were both struggling single parents when our children were young, we often traded babysitting for one another so my daughter and her son grew up more like brother and sister rather than cousins and in some ways I feel like he is the son I didn't have. When I was seven or eight, my vision of the future was to become Marlo Thomas in 'That Girl'. I thought there would be nothing more glamorous than living in her apartment in NYC...plus I kinda had a crush on Donald, her boyfriend.

I keep thinking of things to write about that in my head seem put together. Once I sit down at my computer to actually write them, Trixie (my mama cat) jumps up on the desk, lays on the computer and messes up what I have started. Then I can't figure out what I wanted to say......sigh
