One good thing that happened yesterday, in the midst of my running around getting ready for Thanksgiving and working extra hours at work and stuff-- I ran into the hair salon and asked if there was room for a haircut (they know me as the one who NEVER makes appointment!) and my regular gal was busy but someone else had time. Thank god, because my ( Read more... )

Isnt' she adorable? This is my Marble who almost died this summer. Got some weird virus and lost half her body weight in one week's time. Her hair is growing back with a vengence now that it's gotten colder out-- we had it shaved in April because she's a longhair that doesn't like being brushed and there was hair all over the house. She like her short hair, but I'm glad it grows back in time for winter to keep her warm. But I think it will be an annual thing-- shave it in April or May each year and that will keep us all happy.

I think your hair looks great! I am so hair fixing impaired! I have to have a wash and wear haircut because I can't do anything with it. Too bad, too, because I have great hair and lots of body. I have to make my appointments for the next month when I am in there, otherwise I am like you and waiting to the last minute and hoping I can get in.

Why, thank you! I am SO not good with hair-- I about died when I had a daughter that always wanted me to do things to her hair when she was little. I probably had the only kid who could do her own pony tail by the time she was 3. Yep, wash and wear is what I do, too. I had a perm for a while which was easy (because my hair dried so much faster then) but since my hair is fine and dry, it really dried it out so I have gone totally "au natural" and now it's gotten really healthy. Pretty funny, too, because just this month, the lawn care guy told me I had really healthy hair. LMAO!! the lawn care guy!

That picture looks much better than your icon. However, I think your kitty looks possesed!

Haha! Thank you, I think? I thought this picture looks pretty much the same as the icon, which was a pencil rendering of a photo from a year or so ago. I liked it!

My cat has taken more than one person by surprise. She's darted out the door when guys came calling on my daughter at night and they'd back up and exclaim "what the hell was THAT?" She looks like a cross between a raccoon and a skunk when her hair is winter-thick. But she's got this little tiny meow and and prissy personality (and hates being held)-- she's a very happy, mischievous cat and WAY smarter than her litter mate brother, which we also have. He's very lovable, but rather simpleminded.

Oh. That icon is a rendering? That's pretty damn good! Who did that? That's talent! I was just joking about your cat, but in the picture it DID look posessed. It looked like it was about to eat you!
