Kroger Chicken broth

I've been trying to cut down my grocery bill, so in a lot of instances I'm trying the cheap brands.  I started buying korger chicken broth and finally got the chance to open a can today.  I opened it and saw little white flecks of what looked like mold on the surface...then the smell hit me and I about lost my stomach.  I looked at the expiration

Being a cheap bastard (tm) myself, I tend to use bouillon. The "ethnic" aisle tends to have cheap Mexican brands that are waaay better than the spice aisle both in terms of price and flavor.
