Liverpool is still charming

It has been oddly quiet at work this week meaning I have been leaving at 5 each day and even took a half day today just because I could. As a result of the free time I have been able to visit my great aunt in hospital, finish off a number of dramas (Man Who Can't Marry and Lovers-both very good with nice comedic touches)and get all domestic ( ( Read more... )

How can you doubt my compassionate nature? Here I am distraught about Spooks. They killed Zaf! And released bio weapons in Tehran. I'm a wreck. If I'm that bad about TV it's almost a miracle I make it through a day at work.

After all it's not like I'm some heartless scientist...

Who said anything about your compassionate nature? Its the idea of "your profession" as a caring one I was laughing at :p

It is worrying how much people's professions creep into their lives, but no I guess there's more to me then that.

Of course the stereotype can be fun to play with.

scientist encompasses us all - surely you mean heartless physicist and/or chemists (to cover Ed, Steve and Scott) but exclude biologists like me :)
