I quite enjoyed myself at the Gingerbread gala last night. Between Tonks' fuming at the reporters, Percy feeling his Norman blood, and the impressive bit of spellwork on the ice sculptures, I'd say the evening was fairly exciting at times. My compliments to the organisers for successfully entertaining us and raising funds for a worthy cause ( Read more... )

Pucey was looking for any excuse to get rid of us. We had more fun after we'd moved onto the Banshee anyway.

It's a pity you had socio-political obligations, Minister, you could have come along with us.

I suppose you can't please everyone. Seems like your circle of friends more than makes up for the difference though.

Perhaps next time I will, if I'm told.

Well, I reckon he did have a reason to suspect us, after all. But he's still a twat.

You know you can come down to the Dog any time you'd like, Sir. Drinks are always free for heads of government. Perhaps bring Tony with you?

Minister, I'm afraid I was the victim of one of Fred and George's ill times pranks. I hope I didn't say or do anything to disgrace the Ministy in any way?

On the contrary. I'm tempted to send you to France in place of Mr Bletchley next time.

Tell me that he was getting the urge to start invading at Pevensey and has battle plans for Senlac and hang on, this is History of Magic! I can't have remembered History of Magic.

Out damned memory of 1066 and the fiercesome wizarding armies of William the Conqueror and argh! I keep doing this! Make it stop!

Anyway, how're you Remus, mate? Alright? Glad you had fun, by the way. And really, everyone'd have done that with the ice sculptures, they're just picky that they didn't do it first, that's all.

You shouldn't question Ernie and Justin's wizarding capabilities like that. I bet they're fearsome when it comes to ice sculptures, especially that kind.

It was their sense of direction I wondered about rather than their capabilities.

Sense of direction? You've lost me.

Some wizards have trouble keeping their wands steady and pointed in the right place after a few drinks, you know.
