Well, what a week! Say what you will about Robin Cook, but he was a senior minister and cabinet member who resigned from the government over the war with Iraq. How rare is that in these days of bum licking, self-serving Tory-clones? He was an intelligent man, and debated well and interestingly I recall from a few sessions on 'Any Questions' and ( Read more... )

Lost -- the double length preview and epi2 -- is all repeated on E4 on Sunday night, from 8pm onwards.... unless I read the listings wrong anyhow.

There was an old dear in the shop who overheard the whole exchange. She said "I'm not sure I like the bracelet that much but..." and then she eyed Rik in a very meaningful way. -- brilliant! :D

*smooches*

Aha! Excellent. Then I shall sit down on Sunday and give it a go. I could really do with a show to follow - have you noticed how much nothing is on right now?

Yeah, Rik loves chatting to the old dears in the shop - awwww.

After I'd picked my chin up off the floor I said "Sure, no problem, if you'll give Rik over there a blow job for me, as I have a stiff neck, and can't be bothered right now..."

You are my hero.

You are my hero.

Well, she bugged me, ya know? *g*

'Course Rik is now objecting to being dished out as a free offer... Poor fella. *g*

Can't believe the woman thinking you'd give her a new bracelet, but your reaction was priceless!

I've seen the first 2 episodes of "Lost" and was a bit disappointed. All the cool kids has been going on about how brilliant it is, and to me it's more like a slightly odd soap. Still, I'm going to watch it next week just to be polite, like. ;)

Yeah, I'm gonna give it a try. Magpie says it's being repeated on Sunday, and historically, I do have a thing for plane-crash movies. See my low tastes coming out? *g*

Apparently they are repeating it on Sunday - so I needen't miss the first bit, which is good, because I am very stubborn about needing to see the first bit first. I won't go into a movie if I'm 30 seconds late. It bugs the crap outta Nic, who will cheerfully wander in half an hour after the start and watch!
