Well, what a week! Say what you will about Robin Cook, but he was a senior minister and cabinet member who resigned from the government over the war with Iraq. How rare is that in these days of bum licking, self-serving Tory-clones? He was an intelligent man, and debated well and interestingly I recall from a few sessions on 'Any Questions' and ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about the sore neck (no, I didn't miss it *g*) but what a bloody marvellous story about the mad woman in the shop.

I'll be laughing about that one all weekend, I know.

the mad woman in the shop.

We seem to attract them like flies at our little shop. We had a chap trying to sell us invisible pens earlier in the week too.

Life's rich tapestry is warping and wefting down our little street this week. I find it very entertaining.

Watch it watch it! The worst thing is that it seems to be suffering from the build up of all of us in the US having found it all brand new and sight unseen and falling over ourselves to proclaim it wonderful. So I would say that I really enjoyed it because I went into it looking for nothing more but a show to let me grin at the hobbit-man.

I'm definately going to give it a go. The reviews have been quite mixed, but I don't have a show right now, and they are repeating the first bits on Sunday, so I shall settle in with popcorn and enjoy the plane crash. *g*

I enjoy Lost, but don't expect it to be action packed and fast-paced - they believe in taking there time. And also expect to be very frustrated with the ratio of questions asked to questions answered. What can I say though - I'm hooked! :D

"Sure, no problem, if you'll give Rik over there a blow job for me, as I have a stiff neck, and can't be bothered right now..."

Have I told you lately that I love you? Hee. *snuggles the trogster*

If you're hooked hon, I guess I'd better have a go, just so I know what's the what when you wibble on your LJ about it.

Plus, sun, sea, sand and presumably sex. It sounds like a substitue holiday! *G*

There was an old dear in the shop who overheard the whole exchange. She said "I'm not sure I like the bracelet that much but..." and then she eyed Rik in a very meaningful way. LOL

Indeedy! Tales of Retail Stupidity are my fave! Good answer, btw. ;)

ps...I had an inkling to bo biking earlier. Happily I resisted the urge. I didn't want to end up like Mr. Cook.

Yes! Be careful. My theory is that if you never move anything, you lessen the risk of something breaking. Preventative health care and all that. *g*

Retail madness - I'd forgotten...
