well, i almost made the flipside of my last admissions round. didn't get into berkeley. which is, unfortunately, the only one i applied to with any particular enthusiasm. much love to santa cruz and all, but i'm still not sure that's where i want to be. until things stabilize, this feels like the 2004 election.

my mother spent the weekend compiling photo albums, and i discovered from the pictures that my proportions and physique have not changed much since i was about 8. it's just too bad i didn't start climbing back then.
