oh man, gyms are so phony! especially if you're living in santa cruz where there's all that pretty wilderness to enjoy! just run and hike and bike and that should be fulfilling! gyms have tvs and smelly people and germs.
at least that's my take on them.

you're right, and i think i'm gonna take a sailing or kayaking class so i can get out on the monterey bay. maybe i could sail over to see all you guys, but i don't know where i would park the boat. BUT i really want to go to this gym because it has this incredible view of all of santa cruz and the pacific and you can watch the sunset while you work out. it's one of the finest views on the whole campus and open until like 2am, so i have somewhere to go when i get insomnia and it's raining.

well that sounds like an exceptional gym. and yeah sail over and just park it in the bay near the wharf or something. that should do.

no going vegetarian or vegan until after the summer because it just doesnt coordinate with the rules of BBQ mountain.

Why are you going veg?
And I'm going to call your bluff on the tv thing-- you are going to become an adult swim/vh1/public access addict.

i'm going veg because they offer vegitarian and vegan meals at every mealtime, meaning i don't have to worry about cooking my own food as i would have to now supposing i went veg. if i don't have a tv i wont watch it!
