*nods* I think I'll get out my gyroball more often!
I was mostly surprised over how I was aching in other muscles areas though, related to posture esque stuff, but it is seldom I am out and about that much. After I stopped riding I sadly don't do much exercising and it's taken its toll.
Oh, I can sympathise with the crampy hand bit! Although my DSLR camera is actually qiute light, trying to balance a largish lens when not using a tripod can be a hassle. And it's not just my hand, but also the arm and shoulder. I've started gentle arm raises with a can of beans or some such in my hand, raising the arm ( slightly bent at an angle on raising ) from my side to up over my head. Also, I need to strengthen my left wrist so have started to do the same with that. But a soft ball exerciser is good too.
The hand mostly cramped up on location, afterwards it was more of that "oh, so I surely was moving around yesterday" kind of aftermath ache. But I am such a weak person overall. I have soso strenght in my legs after having done horse riding when I was younger, but since one doesn't use the arms as one uses the legs daily.. my youngest sister is stronger than me, I'm fairly sure ;)
And it does suck getting older. But "Eternal Youth" is still high on my Wishlist, ohyes.
