I had a gash get infected once, sterilized a knife with a lighter, cut it open, squeezed out the ock, and cleaned the whole thing with alcohol. I thought that was reasonably tough, but man, I've got nothing on you.
It is mighty weird when what looks like a serious wound doesn't hurt for some reason. I cut halfway through a fingernail and pretty deep into the meat on the other side when I caught my finger in a pair of scissors, and the whole thing never hurt at all.
