The bear has vanished without a trace. Good for him. They assume he's gone back to Austria, but it would be better for him not to make it obvious he'd this bear, as the Austrians want to capture him and lock him up, too. They get free PR, of course - the newspapers, blogs, TV news, radio etc. mention their name, of course.

That way, the bear gets free insurance and the insurance companies get to improve their image in the public eye, which they urgently need. Everbody knows insurances are evil, right?

Probably. I don't mind their cheap tricks to get publicity, anyway, if it saves his life.

Yep, definitely.

There ain't such a thing as a free lunch - not even for bears. But for the bear, the publicity is more harmful than useful in and of itself.

And insurance is not so evil after all. I wouldn't have one relaxed moment if I had no insurance for my horse. She might total an expensive car. Or kill someone, if things go very bad. *shudders*
