I think I may have cleaned Bob's cage for the last time. He barely moves any more, but at least he doesn't seem to be in pain. It's the first week of October and my account is emptying. I just took my favourite shoes to the cobbler to get the soles and heels fixed. I was unpleasantly semi-surprised at the price... 82 €. If those shoes were any less comfy I'd have bought a new pair instead (I think they cost about 150 €, most expensive pair I've ever owned). ( Read more... )

I just got out of the shower and as I started towelling off a ginormous spider crawled off the towel and onto my hand. I got a few new CDs today (how quaint! actual CDs!); amongst them one Dead Rock by Guitar Wolf. And the lyrics make me squee. Mostly, the songs are sung in Japanese, except for the refrain. However, the booklet has English translations.
