To say that Michael was happy that Mia had won the bachelor auction was an understatement, even though he knew she had to dig into Ollie's wallet to help pay for it. At least it wasn't some creepy old rich lady that lived with various animals and talked to a picture of her dead husband at night. Mia nudged Fletch gently away from the door before she opened it, the puppy barking and generally tripping around her feet in excitement. The note had told her to dress casual, so she had shimmied her way into a pair of skinny jeans and threw a comfortable shirt over it and hoped this was what he had in mind.

She smiled when she saw him and put a hand on her hip. "If it isn't my six thousand dollar date."

Michael's eyes darted over her dress quickly then landed on her face. He grinned in return, pushing away from the wall and bowing a little. "Gotta pay the big bucks for quality though, right?"

He held out his arm for her playfully. "You look nice, by the way."

She took his arm, stepping out into the hall and closing the door behind her. "Don't I always?" she asked with fake innocence. "Better answer carefully. I can still kick your ass."

"Of course you do," he led her down the hall with a laugh. "I think I like living enough not to answer differently."

Once they got to the elevator to go to the ground floor, he turned to her again, a small glint in his eye. "So I figure we'll go to an old folks home and read to them for a while, followed by an afternoon of lectures I looked up at the college. I thought it'd be a good date for six grand."
