So I spent today shmoozing with Mintz Levin (a law firm) and drinking with Morgan Stanley (not a law firm) as well as two placement firms and a so-so interview with Blackrock Investments. Ok, the dates for my visit are now set in stone (and in AA's records) as from the 7th to the 12th of May. In between ferrying my poor dad around and interviewing my little butt off i'd kinda like to see people, with the added goal this time of NOT making out with any exes while ragingly drunk. It's always nice to have goals to shoot for. ;-)

I am thinking of moving back home. All this stuff has made me a bit nervous about being so far away from (nearly) everyone I care about. Plus I am getting really tired of pretending to work at work when I run out of stuff to do, and there are some law firms in boston who seem willing to pay top dollar for a good legal admin asst who can do ( Read more... )

Welp, it's cancer after all. The good news is, it's not the fatal sort. It's slow growing and the doctors say they can just cut it out. Dad may not even be getting chemo. Naturally, i'm still a bit upset. I'll probably be coming home for another visit a bit earlier than I planned.
