Today is a bad day at work.   I have to say goodbye to a lot of really wonderful people...people that I respect and will miss greatly.

I really hate goodbyes.  I am aboslutely terrible at them.

Some people know the right thing to say.  I am awkward and upset and I just can't formulate the words that express my discontent.

So I went to the game store with fellow game-loving friends for some werewolf--not the RPG but the party game.

Its a super fun and silly game in which randomly chosen weresolves try to eat villagers while the villagers attempt to figure out who the werewolves are and vote to kills folks.  With any luck the villagers get it right, but Saturday ( Read more... )

I am still employed!

I meant to post this earlier, but I was delinquint....

Oracle did offer me a position as part of the acquisition.  I got my offer letter on Friday afternoon.  I will be making roughly the same money, though I was switched from salary to hourly.  They may regret that decision as I always work more than 40 hours.  I don't know much ( Read more... )

SO, I got to go the The Cure last night.  It was beyond wonderful.

They played lots of old stuff and lots of new stuff.  It was a really great balance.  And even did like three encores!  Seriously they must have played for  close to three hours if not a little longer.  You don't get many acts that play that long of a setlist anymore.

It was another rainy day.  So I decided to go for a hike in the woods.  One of my favorite rainy day hikes is the white cedar swamp at Douglas State Park--next to rivers, lakes and oceans, the cedar swamps are like totally my favorite.  No one really goes hiking in the rain, making it perfect for Aly!
