Yesterday I went to my aunt's funeral. We weren't particularly close, and she was 92 years old, so it was one of those odd funerals that was both heart-wrenching and joyous at the same time. She was a beautiful person and touched so many lives. Words really can't sum up who Aunt Mae was, though everyone at the service did a wonderful job of trying.

There is a very good chance I will be relocating to Tempe, Arizona. (Work thing, opportunity, blah blah.) Aside from my concerns (I'll need to rename myself on all social media, Arizona is not Ohio, the fucking coyotes, BUT CINCINNATI, etc ( Read more... )

So I'm not allowed to take baths right now (until the incisions heal completely). I can shower (and I do! Honest!) but not soak. Which is normally not a huge deal, except Sundays.

I went back to work today. Um, for three hours. Why, why is it that it is SO MUCH more uncomfortable to sit and stare at a computer at work than it is from my sofa? I went to the doctor this afternoon for a follow up appointment. Nothing really to report, as I'm not really having any complications (knock wood/ptui ptui) but we discussed how my surgery was pretty much textbook.
